Ala-Archa National Park is located just 30 km from Bishkek and covers an area of about 20,000 hectares. The park features mountain ranges, fast-flowing rivers, alpine meadows, and coniferous forests. The name “Ala-Archa” means “variegated juniper,” reflecting the rich diversity of local flora. The reserve is home to many wild animals, including the rare snow leopard listed in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan, as well as a rare blue bird known locally as the “bird of happiness.”
The Ala-Archa National Park tour offers an inspiring introduction to the pristine nature of the Tien Shan mountains. Visitors will enjoy scenic hiking trails, fresh mountain air, and breathtaking landscapes. The program includes a visit to the Ak-Sai Waterfall, approximately 35 meters high, one of the park’s most impressive natural attractions, set among rocky cliffs and coniferous forests.
