Alpine meadows, blooming gardens, mountain trails, and festive celebrations – all await you this spring. Enjoy comfortable weather, without the summer heat and tourist crowds.

Nowruz is more than just the arrival of spring; it is a living cultural tradition that has lasted for thousands of years. Major cities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan host grand public festivities: traditional games, national cuisine, concerts, and theatrical parades in historical costumes.
In Azerbaijan, Novruz is celebrated in a unique way: the four Sundays before the holiday are dedicated to the elements – water, fire, earth, and wind. The climax of the celebrations is the fire-jumping ritual, symbolizing purification and renewal.

It was here, in the Kazakh steppes and foothills, that the tulip first appeared millions of years ago. Every spring, Aksu-Zhabagly Nature Reserve, Turgen Gorge, and the Zhambyl region transform into picturesque carpets of millions of wildflowers. At the same time, wild apple trees bloom – another native species of Kazakh land.
In Kyrgyzstan, the Kosh-Tektir botanical reserve is particularly noteworthy: rare yellow tulips and unique spring species flourish here, making it an ideal destination for eco-tours and nature photography.

The Fergana Valley in Uzbekistan welcomes April with a wave of blossoms – almond, peach, and apricot trees turn the orchards into white-pink clouds. This is one of the most scenic yet little-known spring routes in the region.
In Azerbaijan, by early May, plantations of Damask roses bloom in Zagatala, alongside fields of lavender and mint. The mountain regions of Sheki, Gabala, and Ganja are covered in tulips, lilies, and garden roses – the Caucasus nature at its spring peak

From the first week of May, the foothills of the Kazakh Tien Shan are covered in red. The poppy bloom lasts only about two weeks, making it one of the shortest yet most impressive natural seasons in the region.
Important note: poppy fields appear in different locations each year. We track the bloom in real time and always know the best spots to take our guests.

Spring in Kyrgyzstan marks the start of the nomadic season. At the high-altitude Son-Kul Lake, herders set up the first yurts, offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience this living tradition rather than a tourist reenactment.
Trekking around Issyk-Kul, walking routes through flowering valleys and canyons, and exploring the life of the jailoo – all in comfortable temperatures, before the summer heat and tourist influx.

Azerbaijan’s wine regions – Ganja, Shamakhi, and Tovuz – are especially attractive in spring: vines turn green, nature comes alive, and the atmosphere at the wineries is completely different from the peak tourist season. Spring is the best time for private tours and relaxed tastings against the backdrop of Caucasian landscapes.

Besides Nowruz, the region’s spring calendar is full of events.
In Uzbekistan – the International Flower Festival in Namangan, the classical music festival Shashmaqam, and Boysun Bahori, a mountain region festival in Surkhandarya listed as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage.
In Azerbaijan, May 10 is Flower Day: live sculptures in Heydar Aliyev Park, thousands of planted flowers across Baku, concerts, and fireworks.
In Kazakhstan, May 16 at Almaty Central Stadium, the Solana Festival will take place with an international star lineup: Flo Rida, Tyga, Timbaland, Busta Rhymes, Keri Hilson, and Nicole Scherzinger.
